Lil JonJonathan Smith AKA The King of Cunk AKA Lil Jon is going to be in Trinidad for Carnival and he is gonna be
filming the video for his latest release "Floor on Fire" along with Pitbull and Machel Montano. I had no idea that Lil Jon started off in the industry as a dancehall selecta/Deejay in his hometown of Atlanta. Is that crazy or what??? So his love of the region has always been there. As they say timing is everything. And now is as good a time as ever to fuse the sounds that he loves (dancehall/soca) with the sounds that made him famous (crunk) and bring Crunk Soca to the world.
Jon produced the beat for "Floor on Fire" and even has other Caribbean Stars (Kevin Lyttle and Mr. Vegas) voicing on it.
This is not the first major stage on which Jon has displayed his flair for island beats. He first appeared alongside Pitbull and Machel Montano at soca's other big festival, Crop Over in Barbados, last August. He was also in Trinidad recently to kick off Carnival, performing with Montano at the annual WASA Fete on January 31.

The video for "Floor On Fire" is gonna be shot at AC7, and on Carnival Monday and Tuesday." States Lil Jon: "I want to visually bring to the worldwide audience the energy of Carnival!" The single will be featured on his upcoming album, Crunk Rock, due out this summer from Universal Republic Records.
