MTV2’s Sucker Free Summit premieres on July 25, with its goal being for ‘tastemakers’ from the web, radio, television and print to vote on the best in hip hop music, while celebrity panelists openly debate about the artistes in various category. One thing, Nicki Minaj is really growing on me. The more collabs she does, the more I like her. I especially like her on Ludacris "My Chick Bad", Usher's "Little Freak" and Gyptian's "Hold You". What I don't like is the live lip-synching....If you check out the vids below, you can hear her real voice and it doesn't sound that bad.....so y do it??? I mean I would not come to Best of The Best to hear her sound exactly like the album... You have talent my girl...(at least I hope so)....don't let the machine do all the work.

The nominations for the 2010 BET awards were announced at the 230 Fifth Rooftop Garden Bar and Restaurant in New York City and celebs with Caribbean heritage are in almost all categories.




Alicia Keys and Melanie Fiona each have four nominations, followed by Rihanna with 3 nods. Nicki Minaj has two on her own, but added with her nominations as part of Young Money she has a total of five nods.

The 10th annual show will feature performances from Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Diddy-Dirty Money, who was on hand to announce the nominations, along with Oscar nominee Queen Latifah, who will serve as host.

The BET Awards 2010 will air live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 27, at 8 p.m. The nominees are listed below.

So I recently announced on the site that Diddy was managing Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross. Hey Billboard said it too! Well now Diddy is saying don't believe the hype.



According to a U-Stream video he said:
“For the record, as I said before, don’t believe the rumors. I have not made no announcement yet, don’t believe no rumors about anything y’all hear. me and Nick, we just cool. I like her style. Rick Ross, he’s my brother. There’s no management announcements or none of that. So everybody, worry about what you’re worrying about. It’s all right for people to know each other and have an admiration towards each other and maybe pick each other’s brains for advice. I will be making an announcement in a couple of weeks on some things. But right now, everybody let’s chill out and be cool and stay focused on being positive…”

With just over a month left to showtime, the Best of the Best International Music Festival (BOTB) gets even bigger and promoters are promising there will be more artists to come! Hip-hop heavyweights Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj join Caribbean icons Capleton, Barrington Levy and Cocoa Tea, plus dancehall thriller group T.O.K., as some of the latest artists added to the show's lineup, which boasts the hottest names in urban music today. Music mogul Diddy is set to host the annual blockbuster concert event, taking place during Memorial Day weekend, on May 30 at Bicentennial Park in Miami, Florida.



Rick Ross returns to BOTB from his smash performance last year, and will once again showcase his Maybach Music dancehall artist, Magazeen. Fans can expect classic Rick Ross hits as well as an unveiling of his new tunes, as "the boss" will be promoting the release of his new album, Teflon Don, due in stores on June 29.
New rap sensation Nicki Minaj will see this as her first major performance in South Florida for the year. The Young Money artist has been making waves since she hit the scene as Lil Wayne's proteje, and recently scored major points with the Caribbean audience by jumping on the remix for "Hold Yuh" by reggae crooner Gyptian, who is also appearing on BOTB. The remix is currently receiving massive airplay on urban radio across the nation and keeps Gyptian on Billboard's Hip-Hop/R&B chart.

BOTB's official host, Diddy, is also hitting the stage to promote his upcoming album, Last Train to Paris, and will be bringing his friends in tow to hit the holiday audience that will be packed into Bicentennial Park come May 30. As fans know, no one is more dynamic when it comes to promotion than the 'Bad Boy' of hip-hop so patrons will be in store for a very special treat. Nicki Minaj: He drank a lot and did drugs, and he would get violent when he did. When he set fire to the house, he was attempting to kill my mother. She got out before it burned all the way down. Details: As younger and younger fans come to your shows, do you feel pressure to tone down the racier elements of your persona?

Nicki Minaj: I do. I’m a role model now. I didn’t know I was gonna have 13-year-old fans, so I’ve tried to change a few things here and there. But I also know that the girls don’t want me to be Miley Cyrus, either.

Role model, huh? That's opening up herself to a lot of criticisms. I guess we can give a kudo or two for at least even making some small effort. I must say though, she is definitely growing on me.

According to HipHop Weekly Nicki Minaj has fired her manager Debrah Antney, the mother of of Waka Flocka Flame .

Antney is confirming that she's been fired and tells HipHopWeekly that she received paper work on her termination from Minaj's attorney.

“I received a letter, which was (a) suspension. The next letter that came in was a cease and desist in doing all business with Nicki Minaj from Nicki's attorney."

The CEO of Mizay Entertainment, also responsible for the careers of Gucci Mane and OJ Da Juiceman, says she has no hard feelings towards the Barbie.

Lil Wayne protégé Nicki Minaj and pop singer Ke$ha will be opening up for the Bajan singer on the trek, which kicks off July 2 in Seattle, Washington, and wraps up in Chicago on Aug. 25.



The 25-date tour will also make stops in Canada, Tampa, L.A., New York and Las Vegas. Tickets will go on sale at LiveNation.com on Friday (April 9). Additional dates will be announced soon.

Nicki Minaj has been named as the new host, well co-host really, of BET's Rip the Runway.

Joining co-host Pooch Hall, known widely for his stint as "Derwin Davis" on 'The Game," Minaj will highlight "fierce fashion" and "hot performances" according to organizers. An annual fashion event, 'Rip The Runway' highlights the best in fashion from designers Tracey Reese, Tennille White, Miva, Gavin Douglass, and Protege. Given the theme "Music Moving Fashion Forward," this year's 'Rip The Runway' will feature performances from Janelle Monae, Estelle, Ludacris, Roscoe Dash, Soulja Boy and Grand Hustle's B.o.B.

Of course, yes she's going to perform. I mean come on. She's growing on me....hope she rocks the mike....

'Rip The Runway' will air on BET this Spring.
