There will always be haters....but guess what???? There are people like me, who see the genuine emotion that was overcoming him...He's been through so much-damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Knowing that he wanted to perform last year and wasn't allowed, I think for him it was a moment of redemption. Please enjoy the performance below.

Business interests are expecting this year’s Reggae Sumfest to bring a significant jolt to the Montego Bay economy, which should also extend to the wider Jamaica. It is being seen as a welcome ease to the current economic crunch and a catapult for more growth.
Each year, the world- renowned Festival draws thousands of overseas visitors into the city and its environs, and with this influx, there comes a remarkable upswing in commerce and its related benefits. Visitors have been known to travel from as far as Australia to attend the Festival, spending on Jamaican products liberally as they seek to enjoy every aspect of the Jamaican brand. From as far back as 2003, it was predicted that significant foreign exchange would flow into the island during the time of the festival. This year’s Festival should bring substantial benefits to a wide variety of business interests primarily in the second city, but extending to other areas of the island.
“We expect Reggae Sumfest to be a major contributor to the economic landscape for this year,” states Johnny Gourzong, Executive Director of Summerfest Productions, producers of Reggae Sumfest. “This Festival causes people to not just spend on it, but to spend in preparation for it, and in several other endeavours related to it, and this year should be no different.”
This reality has been duly noted by the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce, which has over 200 members ranging from small family-run enterprises, to large scale businesses such as hotels and resorts. They all thrive from the boom in the various forms of trade which are direct spin-offs from the Festival, during a period that has traditionally been considered slow in that part of the island.
Data from the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce also indicate that villas, hotels, and guest houses become fully booked, restaurants, cook shops, and cafes get unprecedented patronage, clothing stores, beauty salons and countless other businesses get the spike in activity before, during, and even after the Festival. In addition, the benefits are not confined to the second city, but spread widely to the major towns across the island. The fashion industry is one example, as the clothing stores, the tailors, dressmakers and those that provide accessories get major orders to fill within the period.
With the line-up this year that includes American R&B star Chris Brown, international superstars Shaggy and Beenie Man, Jah Cure, Etana, Queen Ifrica and Mavado, the package again promises to be an excellent lineup, and the expected benefits to the country should follow.
Reggae Sumfest is the most celebrated and supported Reggae festival in Jamaica, and attracts the world’s leading musicians and performers. "Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action" will be held May 15 at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Performers will include Trey Songz, Keri Hilson, T-Pain, Mario and Ryan Leslie.

The 20-year-old R&B singer said in a statement Monday he wanted to personally contribute to the Haitian relief effort and support an organization that helps people in his home state. Proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross and the Central Virginia Foodbank.

Celebs came out in full force to support Haiti at BET’s “SOS Save Ourselves: Help for Haiti” telethon which was held Friday Feb. 5th at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. Reportedly the event was spearheaded by Queen Latifah, Diddy and Pharrell who had the support of many stars including Common, Monica, Chris Brown, Wyclef Jean, Debra Lee and more.
The event started of with Haiti's most popular entertainer Wyclef Jean. He was joined by several Haitian artists for his song "Hold On" originally featuring Mavado.
Take a look at the video below of him shaking hands with President Bill Clinton before going into a medley which included his song "Sweetest Girl" featuring Akon, then came Black Dada with Imma Zoe and Haitian Fresh. They broke into Rara and Clef asked the crowd to wave something as they chanted Sak Pase Nam boule!
Here is Justin Beiber who starts off his song "One Less Lonely Girl" in French. He was also joined on stage by Ludacris. Talk about an unlikely pair.
India Arie who had been in Jamaica the night before for the EME awards performed at the event as well.

Nas and Damian Marley performed "The Strong Will Continue" from their Distant Relatives album.

I am so glad that Chris Brown is on somebody's stage. They boy is talented and I think he deserves to contribute to the event. I love the song "Crawl" which he performed and it is definitely inspiring.
The show ended with a "Lean On Me" sing-a-long by hosts Diddy, Pharell and Queen Latifah. They were joined on stage by the performers and other stars such as Sean Kingston and Gloria Estefan.

She said that the more in love she and Chris Brown became, the more dangerous they were for each other. Of the night of the beating she said he had "no soul in his eyes."
Rihanna says that she is strong and she is glad that this incident happened to her as she can be an example for young women. Chris Brown says he is unsure about how the public perceives him since he attacked Rihanna.
Brown beat up his ex-girlfriend in February and is on probation for the assault.
In an interview with MTV News, the 20-year-old says he's "confused" about his public image. He says that he thinks his fans "love me and support me." But he acknowledges there are people "that don't want to see me do anything ... they wanna see me kind of, basically in jail."
He also says he's trying to get past the scandal and learn from his mistakes.

Chris Brown on Monday publicly apologized for the beating of Rihanna, saying in a two-minute video that he's still seeking help and wants to live his life as a role model.
Brown released the video on his Web site apologizing to fans and saying he is sad and ashamed of his conduct. He also tells viewers that he has repeatedly apologized to Rihanna.
Brown was arrested Feb. 8, hours after he fought with his then-girlfriend in a rented sports car after a pre-Grammy party. According to a police affidavit, Brown tried to push the 21-year-old Barbados-born singer from the car and repeatedly hit her and choked her.
He left the scene and later turned himself in to authorities during the Grammy Awards, where he and Rihanna were slated to perform. He was later charged with assault likely to cause great bodily harm and making criminal threats. He pleaded guilty to the felony assault charge last month and faces sentencing Aug. 5.
He is slated to serve five years of probation and perform six months of community labor.
On the video, Brown calls the beating "the incident." He vows to conduct interviews and answer some questions about the beating, but said he wanted to speak directly to fans first.
"I felt it was time you that heard directly from me that I am sorry," he says on the video.
He calls his conduct "inexcusable" and says his mother — who has attended some of his court hearings — has taught him better. He mentions that he witnessed domestic violence growing up.
"I saw firsthand what uncontrolled rage can do," he tells viewers. "I have sought and am continuing to seek help to ensure that what occurred in February can never happen again."
Brown says on the video he wanted to speak out earlier, but was advised not to by his lawyer.
He acknowledges that the beating has hurt his reputation. Although he doesn't mention it, Brown lost sponsorship deals, radio stations stopped playing his music and other artists condemned him after the attack.
Before the beating, Brown was considered a squeaky-clean R&B up-and-comer. He rose to prominence after the 2005 hit "Run It!" He was nominated for a Grammy for "No Air" with Jordin Sparks and named Billboard's top artist in 2008.
"I intend to live my life so that I am truly worth of the term 'role model,'" Brown says at the video's conclusion.

Chris Brown pleaded guilty Monday to assaulting Rihanna and the two were ordered to stay away from each other, in a deal that keeps the singer out of prison but requires him to clean up graffiti or roadside trash.
Brown's plea to a felony charge will subject him to substantial scrutiny by probation officials, and the judge's order puts the kibosh on any short-term prospects for reconciliation with his pop diva girlfriend as well.
The guilty plea came before a preliminary hearing was scheduled to start. The hearing had been billed for weeks as a public face-off between the pair, with Rihanna set to testify against her one-time boyfriend.
Instead, Brown averted the potentially damaging meeting by entering a plea that will subject him to probation for the next five years as well as force him to perform six months of community service.
Mark Geragos, Brown's lawyer, said the plea represented the singer taking responsibility for his actions — which included beating, choking and biting Rihanna during a fight early Feb. 8, according to police.
After Brown left the courtroom, Rihanna entered and was addressed by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg, who explained to the Barbados-born singer that she had issued a stay-away order.Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg, who explained to the Barbados-born singer that she had issued a stay-away order. 
Rihanna had not been seeking such an order, but the judge imposed one anyway. The order requires that Brown and Rihanna stay at least 50 yards from each, except at industry events when the distance is reduced to 10 yards.

"This is a kid who's never been in trouble before," Geragos said after the hearing. "He embraces this as chance to get the message out that domestic violence will not be tolerated. He wants to get his life back on track."
Brown will be formally sentenced on Aug. 5.
Schnegg accepted Brown's plea, but expressed some concerns because Brown is not a California resident. She said Brown likely will be allowed to do his service in his home state of Virginia, but she didn't want him to spend his time at churches or community centers.
Instead, Schnegg ordered Brown to get his hands dirty by doing work equivalent to what he would do in California — clean up grafitti or roadside trash.
She also said he'll have to return to California every three months and attend domestic violence counseling.
Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, said the terms were in line with what others receive when they are charged with similar crimes and have no prior criminal history.
Brown spoke softly throughout the hearing as he waived his rights and told the judge he understood the gravity of his plea.
"I think it's commendable you took responsibility for your conduct," Schnegg told Brown.
She said she hoped "the terms and conditions of your probation will have some meaning."
Rihanna spoke briefly, too, telling Schnegg she understood the terms of the stay-away order and that after Brown's sentencing she might ask for its terms to be loosened.
Rihanna, 21, recorded one of 2007's most popular songs with "Umbrella" and has numerous other hits. Her looks have made her a cover girl for magazines, as well as a pitchwoman for Cover Girl cosmetics.
The deal provides an end to a case that sparked intense media interest and severe backlash against Brown. Sponsors and radio stations dropped him, and the singer had to cancel several high-profile appearances, including a performance at the Grammys.
The singer once known for his squeaky-clean image now has a substantial blemish on his record. Brown, 20, rose to fame after the 2005 hit "Run It!" He was nominated for a Grammy for "No Air" with Jordin Sparks and named Billboard's top artist in 2008.
Intense media coverage led to Rihanna being identified as Brown's victim mere hours after the attack. Within weeks, a photo of the singer and model's bruised and battered face was posted on celebrity gossip site TMZ.

The logistics of Brown's sentence may make it difficult to get back to his job.
"It amounts to a very sweaty house arrest," said Loyola University Law School Professor Stan Goldman, who was in the courtroom. "You have to have the discipline to show up several times a week. How many times will this interfere with a record date or an appearance?"

Well more like the four jewellers who lent Rihanna approximately $1 million worth of accessories the night of her alleged beating by Chris Brown want their bling back.
Since late March, Rihanna, 21, has been trying to recover the borrowed jewelry from the LAPD, who took the items into evidence in their investigation.
"Since there appears to be no evidentiary value to the continued holding of this jewelry ... we respectfully [ask] the court to order the return of this property to [Rihanna] without further delay," her lawyer Donald Etra wrote in a court request filed earlier this week.
The items were described as two yellow metal hoop earrings with white stones; one yellow metal ring with white stones and green stones; and two yellow metal rings with white stones.
"If the DA doesn't need the items, and the LAPD doesn't need the items, there's no reason why they shouldn't be returned," Etra tells PEOPLE.
A source adds that Rihanna also borrowed a Gucci dress for the Feb. 7 Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party she attended, which also has not been returned.
Etra states in the documents that the owners of the jewelry were going to hold Rihanna liable if the accessories weren't returned, with the total cost and damages related to their late return as more than $1.4 million.
According to the court papers, the LAPD detective on the case referred Etra to the prosecutor on the case, who apparently has not responded to requests for the jewelry's return.
"At this stage, we're not even sure what evidence is going to be entered into the case," DA spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons tells PEOPLE. "For now, we don't have any further comment on this matter."
The LAPD also declined to comment.
Brown, who has pleaded not guilty to two felony charges, has a court date of April 29.

Chris Brown is denying reports that he’s getting romantic with Girlicious singer Natalie Mejia. The R&B singer, 19, was photographed with Mejia, 20, and another man on Saturday at West Hollywood tattoo parlor Tattoo Mania, where Brown has been inked before.
Brown's rep tells People Magazine:
“Chris was in a Hollywood tattoo parlor with a woman from the recording studio named Dean, who was getting a tattoo. (Chris did not get a tattoo), Natalie Mejia was there with Dean. [Reports in other media] that Natalie Mejia is Chris’s new girlfriend are also false,” says the rep, adding that other rumors claiming Brown is dating a Virginia college student named Erica Jackson are also not true.

As for the Oprah show which focused on domestic abuse, shehad this to say about the couple:
“Let me tell you why she got back with him, in my opinion,” Winfrey said. “If you go back with a man who hits you, it is because you don’t feel you’re worthy of being with a man who won’t.”Tyra Banks also talked about both Rihanna and Chris Brown talking to her about domestic abuse they witnessed growing up.

“She should not be attacked,” Banks said. “We need to send her love, and hope for her to make the right decision.”

Unfortunately, he won't be at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. According to E online:
There won't be any awkward Chris Brown moment at the Kids' Choice Awards — the embattled pop star has withdrawn his name from the ballot.
Brown had been nominated for favorite male singer and favorite song for "Kiss Kiss" at the March 28 awards show on Nickelodeon. The nominations came shortly before his arrest for allegedly attacking girlfriend and fellow pop star Rihanna.
A petition had been circulated to take his name off the ballot, but Nickelodeon said yesterday he was still on. On Wednesday, Brown decided to take his name out of consideration.
In a statement, his representatives said while Brown would like to speak directly to his fans, he can't because of his criminal case.
He thanked his fans for their support.

Tina Davis, the woman TMZ identified as the person who sent Chris Brown the text message that ignited the infamous fight with Rihanna, is firing back at suggestions the text was of an “intimate nature.”
Davis just issued the following statement through her lawyer, Marshall B. Grossman:
“The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false. There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports.
If the source of the false rumors is identified, legal action will be taken. Given the nature of the legal issues affecting Mr. Brown, Ms. Davis will not be making any further statements.”
Well I for one I am glad that he withdrew. That is one good thing he has done of lately. As for the Tina Davis story, it's no surprise that she denied it. In a way its a catch 22. She says she didn't do it, people are like "sure you didn't you're 15 plus years older than the kid" if she said she did, then they'd say " woman, you're 15plus years older than the kid!"
I don't know what she did or did not do. Let's hope for both of their sakes nothing happened.
Rihanna’s producer, Adonis Shropshire, recently confirmed the 21-year-old star was back in the studio. “You have to remember, she’s a kid still,” he said. “So with anybody who goes through something in the world, you have to bring yourself out of it so I guess her refuge is her music.”
I heard that she and Chris Brown are working on a single together. Not sure how true that is.I guess music is therapy for them both. But they still need to bring a professional (as in MD) in the mix!
