Anyhow, the ladies line is called Twice Belle (belle meaning beautiful in French and French Creole which is spoken in Dominica!)....Love it! The Bouyon masters WCK from all accounts put on an AWESOME performance at World Creole Music Festival 2009. The band performs every year but this year was special as several former members performed with the band. S.K.I.N.N.Y AKA Shadowflow formerly known as Skinny Banton, Dice (Dominia's 4-time Calypso King), Nayee (awesome songwriter and vocalist), and Clint "The Body" Henderson AKA Charm Daddy....
So of course hearing all these old CK just bring back memories of a fete here and ther, CK on de Parkway, CK in Miami....yes Jah sorry I miss it we....

Creole in the Park is an annual event organized by major sponsor Cable and Wireless. This year saw the 6th installment of the event which promoted local musicians, as well as local cuisine. The two dollar contribution was not bad either. Here are some pics from the event which lasted from Monday October 27th to Thursday October 30th. Official Site.

On October 4th AMP held a workshop at the Fort Young Hotel to brief musicias, entertainers, lawyers, the police force and anyone who had an interest in the industry about copyright and the structure of the music industry. The guest speaker was Lloyd Stanbury, an entertainment lawyer from Jamaica who can count people like Cecile as clients, he helped to create the Reggae Academy organizers of the Reggae Awards.
The info given by him and Mark Marie of AMP was extremely informative. Artists at the event included, King Dice, Hunter, Daddy Chess, De Bobb, Cornell Phillip, Ophelia Marie (Dominica's Lady of Song and wife of Mark Marie), Maxine Alleyne, Triple Kay band. Promoters like Maggz, and More Sewo guys were there too, Pat Aron incredible writer to many a calypsonian was also present, and the police and media were in attendance too.
Creole Festival 2007 is gonna be hot! hot! hot!....Shurwayne Winchester, Beenie Man, Kassav, Destra, WCK, Triple Kay, Beres...allu go to de site for de whole list......I will be one real sour puss if I doh end up there boy!
