She filed the documents in L.A. County Superior Court on May 10 -- just two days before their 9-year wedding anniversary. Garcelle and Michael have 2-year-old twins together -- she is seeking joint legal and physical custody. As for spousal support -- Garcelle has requested that the judge not award anything to Michael.
In other couples news, Swizz Beatz settled out of court with his ex-Mashonda, to avoid going to court on June 10th. She claimed the 31-year-old producer owed $334,000 in delinquent child support and alimony debt.

Swizz Beatz, who is currently on tour with his pregnant fiance Alicia Keys, recently told the New York Post:
his ex's allegations that he owes $325,000 in equitable distribution and $9000 in alimony and child support are "inaccurate" and "overblown" and said that he's gone "above and beyond" to provide for her and their 13-year-old son, Kasseem Jr.
He said he'd agreed to pay Dean more than the judge required and much more than his lawyer recommended - he even had to sign court papers acknowledging that he was going against his attorney's advice.
"I gave over what the judge was recommending to give. I gave her $700,000 upfront, because I thought $200,000 wasn't enough for what she wanted to do. I still get spit in my face for it," he said.

Ms Shivaughn Johnson won the title of Face of Shabeau Dominica. She receives a one year contract with 3M Production, as the Face of Shabeau Dominica, she will be make multiple media appearances and have multiple nationally run AD Campaigns.
She will move to Barbados to compete in the finals and compete against winners from other islands on June 28th for the title of Face of Shabeau as well as well as the opportunity to become a TV personality on The Caribbean Channel and a management contract with Trump Model Management Agency in New York.

Is it safe to say that many of her core fans are teenagers??? The search for the next face of SHABEAU Magazine and Spokes model for the Caribbean Channel (formerly Caribvision) has hit Dominica. Eight beauties have been chosen and have competed in various challenges over the last five weeks, leading to the final show on May 15th at Krazy Koconuts. The winner will travel to Barbados to compete against other regional hopefuls at the Hilton hotel on June 27th. Apart from being spokesperson for SHABEAU Magazine and the Caribbean Channel, the winner will win a modeling contract with Trump Model Management and travel to fashion shows within the region and South America!

Atlanta rapper B.o.B will bounce Rihanna from the top slot of the Hot 100 to be released on Thursday morning (Apr. 22), as his "Nothin' On You," featuring Bruno Mars, will jump 2-1 while Rihanna's "Rude Boy" drops to the runner-up slot.

Rihannawas rushed to the hospital after performing in Switzerland on Monday night and of course that had everyone wondering what the heck had happened to her?
It seems after performing at the concert in Zurich, she was rushed to the ER in a black Mercedes accompanied by a camp of bodyguards, drivers and assistants.
In a recent update on People.com the 22 year old singer's rep says she"had an injured rib and went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn't,"
Rihanna continued the European leg of her "Last Girl on Earth" tour Tuesday night with a concert in Lyon, France, and is expected to play in Marseille on Wednesday.
Jamaican acts Sean Paul, Sean Kingston and Alicia Keys as well as Bajan-born Rihanna and Leona Lewis who is of Guyanese heritage (technically so is Rihanna as her mom is Guyanese) are up for awards in various categories for this years MTV Japan's Video Music Awards (VMA's).

Of course in every category there are Japanese nominees. It is interesting that to date the Reggae category (which was introduced in 2006) has only been won by Japanese artists. apart from Sean Paul (nominated in 2006 for We Be Burnin, in 2007 for Temperature) and Kingston (nominated in 2008 for Beautiful Girls) only 2 other Jamaican aritsts have been nominated in this category. Mavado in 2008 with his song "Dreaming" and Kardinall Offishall (who was born in Canada to Jamaican parents) with "Dangerous" (his duo with Akon) in 2009.
Congrats to Robin Thicke and Paula Patton who welcomed their son Julian Fuego into the world this Tuesday in LA. The proud father is on tour with Alicia Keys and had to cut his set short. Meanwhile Paula looks stunning on the cover of Ebony May 2010. There's another one too.

Reggae songstress Timeka Marshall will be making a special guest appearance at the Banks Open Mic series on April 8. This will be the first in the eight-week series of Thursday night sessions at Braddie’s Bar which start at 9 pm.
According to Lisa Howell, event coordinatorand holistic vocal coach with Sing Vocal Arts: “ It is not an average open mic showcase.”
Howell, a seasoned performer, sees these events as an excellent forum for artist development. “In addition to promoting local and regional music and talent, they are a good way for artists to practice and develop their art and could be a proving ground for new talent or even material,” she said. “We are excited to have Timeka being a part of our first session and look forward to having guest appearance each week from artists in different genres.”
The free open mic series will focus on a different genre each week with the finale featuring the best acts from the previous seven weeks to compete for prizes.
“We will be awarding prizes to those persons who are determined by trained professionals to have demonstrated both vocal and performance potential in their chosen genre,” she explained.
Each session will close with participants and those in attendance partying to the sounds of DJ Selecta Frost and DJ Supa High Voltage Sound System.
