Chris Brown, released an official statement through his publicist Michael Fitrick stating that he is "sorry and saddened" by what happened and is seeking counseling from his pastor and loved ones.
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person.
Though unableto elaborate, the 19 year old singer claims that much of what is reported in the press is untrue.
"Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and-or reported in the media is wrong,"Brown surrendered to Los Angeles police on Feb. 8 and was released on $50,000 bail after being booked for investigation of making a criminal threat, a felony. He has not been charged by the district attorney's office, which is still investigating the case.
Chris Brown's father Clinton Brown, who lives in Toppahannock Virginia, spoke to People Magazine saying that he is "home" though he would not specify where. He also told the magazine: "He's reflecting on this situation," Clinton Brown told People. "He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that (Rihanna's) okay."
Police and prosecutors have not officially disclosed that Rihanna was the victim of Brown's attack early Sunday morning in
Concerning the alleged attack on his daughter Rihanna, Ronald Fenty told People Magazine "You think you know somebody but you really don't."
He told the magazine that he saw her in Barbados on Thursday.
"She will be alright," he told People. "At some point, she will speak out. I hope she will stand up for women all over the world."
mr Fenty said the pair seemed happy and he did not know what when wrong. As far as a future for the two? He said his daughter should just "move on."
