Barbados well represented at MIDEM

MIDEM is the worlds largest and most prestigious music marketing event. It takes place Jan. 18th thru 21st at Palais des Festivals in Cannes France.

Barbados is sending a delegation, led by Invest Barbados’ Manager Jannette Babb and Senior Business Development Manager Modou Diagne, to the event with one of their main goals being to highlight Barbados' musical diversity. MIDEM is the ideal medium to do so as each year the event attracts almost 10,000 of the world's biggest labels, publishers, agents, distributors, promoters and the music professionals including of course artists.

On January 18, tax expert with Ernst and Young, Ben Arrindell, who is also the Chairman of the Barbados Private Sector Association, will speak on the Advantages of Doing Business in Barbados.

Invest Barbados' Indigenous Service’s Export Division, considers Entertainment related services (film, music), Fashion, Sport Education, Health and Wellness and ICT some of the priority sectors under its wing.
