The Shaggy & Friends 1 Ticket=1 Life; Dare to Care Concert which took place Saturday, December 3, was successful in raising approximately J$27 million for the Bustamante Hospital for Children. At a press conference at the Hospital, Shaggy disclosed that the concert itself raised $23.5 million, Coca Cola Jamaica donated $2 million, and the difference came by way of a charity auction. He noted also that he was also expecting additional donations via individuals and organizations both locally and abroad who had made pledges but were still to actually hand over the money.
Coinciding with the concert was also the launch of the book Shaggy Parrot and the Reggae band.
