Reggae artiste, Collie Buddz, has been dropped from Columbia Records after two years. Born Colin Harper, in New Orleans, the artist grew up in Bermuda.



He shot to fame in 2007 with his self-titled debut album which sold 10,825 copies within the first week and was 68 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Among the hits the album generated were "Come Around" (the video directed by Ras Kassa which was shot in Jamaica), "Mamacita" and the Black Chiney produced "Blind to You."

Toriano Wilson died from injuries sustained after crashing with two other riders (Luciano Ribodino of Argentina [stable condition] and Garet Tomlinson of Aledo, Texas [uninjured]) at the Virginia International Raceway on Sunday. The 14-year-old was taking part in the Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup series race. According to a race spokesman: "Toriano Wilson, a road racer from Bermuda, fell on the track during the first lap and was accidentally struck by another rider while attempting to get out of the way." He was airlifted to UNC Hospital in North Carolina but later died from his injuries.

37 year-old Kevin Antario Brown, son of Bernuda's Premier Ewart Brown, was arrested in Los Angeles, CA due to alleged sexual assault of a patient. An 18-year-old female reported to Police in June 2007 that she was inappropriately touched during a medical examination by Dr. Brown. During a year-long sting operation, a female undercover agent was also inappropriuately touched. The charges are sexual battery by fraud and sexual exploitation by a physician. Detectives are appealing for more witnesses go to the LAPD Blog for info. Dr. Brown will be arraigned in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County on July 29.
