The Lime: Kees writes for American Idol Star!!

In September 2007, Trini Soca Superstar Kees Dieffenthaller, lead singer of Kes, was invited to Nashville Tennessee to participate in a three day writing camp, that was hosted by sonwriter/producer Desmond Child. Throughout his three decades in music, Child's list of accolades includes Grammy awards, 70 Top 40 singles, and songs that have sold over 300 million albums worldwide. Child's career has been highlighted by a stunning array of diversity. His collaborations include Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Ricky Martin, KISS, Kelly Clarkson, Cher and Alice Cooper.

Kes was one of 25 writers (considered to be the best in the biz) present at this camp. They included:- GARY BURR ( credits include Kelly Clarkston, Clay Aiken, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, Christina Aguilera, Tim McGraw)- BILLY FALCON (Credits include Bon Jovi, Cher, Stevie Nicks)- DARRELL BROWN (credits include Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes)

The goal of the camp was to write songs for Ace Young's up-coming self-titled album. On the last day Kes and Darrell Brown were seected by Child to be his writing partners. The end result, after almost 11 hours of writing, was the ballad "How You Gonna Spend Your Life" which made it to Ace's album released July 15th 2008

Ace Young who recently won a Grammy for co-writing Daughtry's "It's Not Over" first entered the music scene on the wider scale on the fifth season of American Idol. He is also an actor appearing in the TV drama Bones.
