From Billboard:
A new Michael Jackson song entitled "This Is It" will be released as a single on Oct. 12, Sony Music Entertainment announced today (Sept. 23).

The song -- which features backing vocals by Michael's brothers, the Jacksons -- is part of a two-disc album of music inspired by the upcoming "This Is It" film, which chronicles Jackson's final days rehearsing for his comeback concerts before his death."This song only defines, once again, what the world already knows -- that Michael is one of God's greatest gifts," said John McClain, who co-produced the album and is also a co-executor of Jackson's estate.

The "This Is It" double album will be released worldwide on Oct. 26 and in North America on Oct. 27. Two versions of the new song appear on its first disc, which also features original masters of Michael Jackson's hits in the order in which they appear in the movie. The album's second disc features previously unreleased versions of more Jackson hits, as well as a previously unheard spoken word poem entitled "Planet Earth."

Sony Pictures' "This Is It" film hits theaters on Oct. 28 for a two-week run.

Sean Kingston's very much publicized and long awaited album Tomorrow dropped on Tuesdat September 22nd. He will be performing "Face Drop and Fire Burning" today Wednesday the 23rd on Dancing With The Stars on ABC. Take a look at the video for "Face Drop." I like the concdpt of the song, basically saying that the girl drop him and he was ok and now her face drop cause I guess she expected him to be down and out cause he lost her but we "came out a winner/oh-oh-oh-oh"

Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics, the follow up to 2006’s Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship, is scheduled for release the end of February. Available for pre-order Feb. 10th at Amazon.com.

The lead single, “Chocolate High,” features her former boyfriend Musiq Soulchild, while second single “Therapy” features the vocals of Gramps Morgan from the band Morgan Heritage. His contribution is throughout the song, not so much singing a specific verse as just sprinkling his unique vocals throughout the popish-track. I don't know why it remids me of Shontelle's "T-Shirt". It's much faster, for one, but I guess they both have that common pop feel and smooth vocals.

Arie launched her own label, Soulbird Music, in June, with the release of singer Anthony David’s album, “Acey Deucy.” The artists teamed for the single “Words,” which is up for a Grammy for best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals.

Here is the track list for “Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics”:

“Intro — Grains”
“Therapy”
“Psalms 23″
“Chocolate High”
“He Heals Me”
“Interlude — Grains”
“Pearls”
“River Rise”
“Yellow”
“Better Way”
“Interlude — Grains”
“Long Goodbye”
“Ghetto”
“The Cure
“Outtro — Grains”

Singer Tami Chynn has logged her first entry on any Billboard singles chart. "Frozen", her duet with hip hop star Akon has jumped from number 16 to number 11 on Billboard-s Dance Music Club Play listing. The track is also burning up dance radio, as it hops to number 20 on Billboard-s Dance Music Airplay tally.

She is signed to Akon's Kon-Live Label which is distributed by Universal Music's Geffen. Guess its a fruitful relationship seeing as she just scored a Pepsi commercial , which also features Akon's vocals. She will be going on tour with New Kids On The Blockm and Natasha Bedingfield.

Look out for her new album Prima Dona set for release in early 2009
