According to One876entertainment.com, Beenie Man was a no-show at the Pepsi Port Royal Jerk Festival. Apparently due to a lost passport. The site says Tameka Reynolds of Free People Entertainment, who are handling Beenie Man's bookings, said."We tried to contact them very early in the day but they failed to answer the phone, and when we finally got to them, I guess they were not able to appease the audience."

Reggae Sumfest has been presented consecutively since its launch in 1993 by Summer Fest Productions, headed by Executive Director Johnny Gourzong and Chairman Robert Russell. recently earned 'Promoter of the Year' and 'Concert of the Year' at the 27th Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards on May 4.
A highlight of the festival will be the Sprint Racing Experience Simulator, a NASCAR racing simulator comprised of four play stations with a movie viewing room where people can race against up to three other players and have a chance to win prizes.

Jammins Reggae Music and Soccer Festival is taking place in Brooklyn at the Aviator Sports & Recreation at Floyd Bennett Field on Sunday, June 29th, 2008.
In addition to the concert, two live Soccer Matches will also take place featuring the Caribbean All-Stars verses the Baisley Park Raiders and Reggae DJ’s verses Soca DJ’s. Attendees will receive three events for the price of one admission.
Reggae Carifest will be taking place Saturday August 25th, in Randalls Island, NY. Performers include Sean Kingston and his uncle Buju Banton, Ninja Man, Luky Dube, Third World, Yellow man and Djakout Mizik.
