Jamaican Dancehall artist Beenie Man was granted bail today after being charged with assault resulting in bodily harm, after allegedly assaulting fellow entertainer LA Lewis. Beenie Man along with selector Rolexx were charged and given bail set at $100,000.

The sad thing is this happened right after the funeral of Oneil Edwards on Saturday. Sources say Lewis was driving with his head out the vehicle window, and ran into Beenie's Audi Q7. Now anyone who knows of or has ever met L.A Lewis know he is full of chat, and that supposedly is what he did after hitting the car. Beenie got out of his vehicle and physically assaulted him...

Please people...no matter how irritating someone can get...don't assault them...especially public figures-let your people deal with his people.

Beenie left on a 22-city European Tour this week.

The University Chapel on the grounds of the UWI Mona Campus, on Tuesday Feb. 16th 2010, was the location of Rex Nettleford's official funeral. The school, in the days following his passing on Feb. 2nd, held displays in several areas including the library and Rex Nettleford Hall honoring him and his work over the decades.

Here are some pics from the display on Rex Hall:

I took these pics of the funeral location the day before, when staff was setting up the tents and putting finishing touches.

School was suspended from 8am to 12 noon the day of the funeral. I missed it. I had an awful migraine but I got these pics from The Gleaner website.

He was cremated, that is why there is no coffin.

LA Lewis' attendance was subject of discussion in Understanding Media class the next day.
