Italian Vanity fair is going all black too! And according to islandevents.com Jamaican Sosheba Griffiths will be featured in the special editioral .

The editorial which was shot in London by legendary South African photographer Koto Bolofo, has cricket as its theme and also features a touch of retro-60's glam.

Sosheba, winner of the 2005 Fashion Face of the Caribbean was discovered by Saint International boss Dwight Peters when he visited her school, Denham Town High, a year prior. Since then she has appeard in Elle, Jalouse, Grazia, Petra, Vogue Gioella and even landed a coveted spot in the Victoria’s Secret catalogue

Fashionistas are losing their minds trying to get their hands on this collector's issue of ItalianVogue Magazine. On the cover are Liya Kebede, Sessilee Lopez, Jourdan Dunn and Naomi Campbell. Kebede is Ethiopian and the other three all have Caribbean roots.....Yea Man!!!! Here are some pics of Naomi ....

UK-born Jourdan Dunn is only 17 and she is one of the hottest young models in the business today.

Now though many are glad that there is a black issue, some are arguing that it's just a token act, a give-a-dog-a-bone-and-shut-it-up kind of move. Maybe it is maybe it isn't. But after hearing so many people complain that black models do not get any of the limelight the way white models do , shouldn't we embrace this???? I think it's brave and artsy. Reportedly the magazine was advised against doing it for lack of sales. But this is flying off the racks!!!! Kudos to Italian Vogue for trying a ting (even before Voguse US) and I hope not just magazines but the industry will follow suit!

Ok. so apparently in an interview with UK mag The Sun about posing forPlayboy Rihanna said" "I am only 20 so my mother would kill me if I posed nude!
"When I did that metallic body paint stuff for my video, I didn't do it to show my body.
"I didn't do it for people to like me. I did it because it was a cool visual, unexpected, and it looked hot."

The only Caribbean personality I know who has done Playboy is Hatian-born Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon AKA Fancy from the Jamie Foxx Show. To me she favors Kimora Lee Simmons on the cover of the Aug 07 issue. And the rinestones on thebody...So Hot!!!!! She did this at age 40. More Power too her.... Rihanna take your time girl ....
