BBC World Service and BBC World Television are embarking on a global talent search. The Next Big Thing 2007 has already passed through the Caribbean , making a stop in Kingston Jamaica in the early part of this month. The BBC have selected a panel of international music experts to help choose 5 finalists. There are just two rules: artists must be unsigned and perform their own material.
Entries close tomorrow the 18th , and finalists will perform for an all-star jury in London in December. One act will be crowned “The Next Big Thing 2007” andperform to a live audience of 3000 people at London’s O2 stadium to celebrate BBC World Service’s 75th Anniversary in December, alongside some of the most exciting names in music.
