In an exclusive interview with Galmour Magazine, Rihanna talks about her ordeal with Chris Brown and life in general since being signed by Rap Superstar Jay-Z.
Here is a snippet from the interview:
Glamour: Let’s talk about this past year—you’ve obviously been
through some difficult things. How did the people around you help you cope?
Rihanna: My friends and family have been extremely
supportive, and everyone has been there for me. But at some point you are there
alone. It’s a lonely place to be—no one can understand. That’s when you get
close to God.
Glamour: Are you referring to the [Chris
Brown] incident?
Rihanna: I am talking about starting with
the night [before] the Grammys and then on. That was not the only thing that
occurred this year. The picture leaking…it was one thing after another.
Glamour: You’re talking about the photo [reportedly of
Rihanna’s injured face taken by police after Brown assaulted her] that was
allegedly leaked by cops. You handled that so well; you kept silent in the
press.
Rihanna: It was humiliating; that is not a photo you
would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people
were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was
disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by]
two women.
Glamour: How has this event changed you as a
person, as a woman?
Rihanna: I’m stronger, wiser and more
aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even
know, like fans.
Glamour: Do you think you’ve gotten your
strength from your mom?
Rihanna: Definitely. My mom gave us
the tools to survive…. My parents separated when I was eight or nine. I helped
her raise my [youngest] brother, because my mom was working all the time. He’s
my favorite.
Glamour: Do you feel that this experience has
laid the groundwork for coping with anything so public again?
Rihanna: It has taught me so much. I felt like I went to
sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media
chaos that happened the next day. It was like, What, there are helicopters
circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I
can’t go back home?
Mr. Vegas has scored another major international achievement with his song; "Mus Come a Road" which is featured on the soundtrack of the best-selling game Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes From Liberty City.

The song appears on the Ramjam Fm Radio Station hosted by DJ David Rodigan. Other reggae tracks featured on Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes From Liberty City are from Ini Kamoze, Barrington Levy and Desmond Dekker."Mus Come A Road appeared on the Strictly The Best VP compilation of 2008, and it peaked at #5 on the black chart in England.

In the interview Rihanna says she and Chris became “dangeros” for each other the more in love they became.According to Yahoo News:
Chris Brown says he is unsure about how the public perceives him since he attacked Rihanna.
Brown beat up his ex-girlfriend in February and is on probation for the assault.
In an interview with MTV News, the 20-year-old says he's "confused" about his public image. He says that he thinks his fans "love me and support me." But he acknowledges there are people "that don't want to see me do anything ... they wanna see me kind of, basically in jail."
He also says he's trying to get past the scandal and learn from his mistakes.
"Chris Brown: The Interview," premieres on Friday — the same day Rihanna's interview airs on "20/20."
The entertainer will release his third album, "Graffiti," on Dec. 8.
And speaking of confusion, some are not sure where he is going with the look on his album cover.
According to this recent twit, Chris seems ok with this new look.

Happy 31st anniversary of Independence to my homeland Dominica the Nature Isle!
Click HERE to go to Lennox Honychurch's site for historical and cultural information on Dominica. He's the best. My high school Caribbean History books were written by him.
This pic was taken at a small service held by the Dominica Students Association at the University of The West Indies Mona Campus. Who tell me go in the back nuh??? Can barely makeout de ballhead...lol.

PartyDominica.com coverage

Right, so I am in Jamaica attending the University Of The West Indies Mona Campus, and I was in the bookstore browsing the magazine racks and picked up a copy of College Lifestyle Magazine. Assassin was on the cover (he's so damn fine! lol)- that was enough for me!
As much reading as college students have to do, I think the creators of this magazine has really got a fantastic grip on what we college students want in a magazine: enough information to learn something new, or more about what we already know, and great pics. Yeah it's that simple. We DO NOT want information overload. Kudos to Aldain Reid and the rest of the team!
The first issue of the magazine was launched this summer and already the creators have a TV show. The first episode of the half hour show features Billy "Mystic" Wilmot and surfers in Jamaica, Kim-Marie Spence who is preparing for a treck in Antartica , and reggae artist Protoje who has an AMAZING song called "Arguments." Peep the video HERE!
So tune in to CVM TV on Mondays at 9PM for the show. It repeats Saturdays at 6:30. so don't miss it... I know I won't!
Shyne's father, the Prime Minister of Belize Dean Barrow has released his first official statement in support of his estranged son Shyne (Jamal Barrow) since Shyne has returned to Belize after deportation on Tuesday.
After a few days of Shyne being home Prime Minister Barrow expressed his hope that his son will recover from the physical and emotional stress of a decade in prison.
“When I saw him yesterday I was stunned. You don’t go to jail for that period of time. It’s obviously exacting a huge toll on you but I really was shocked to see what it had physically done to him. Clearly it will take some time for him to be able to recover from that experience. Not having gone through it myself, I don’t know whether one is ever able to recover. But it was wonderful to see that he is free at last, good to have him in Belize. Although he appeared physically frail, it was obvious that he was mentally strong as ever. He certainly kept talking to me about what his presence here at home could mean for this country, what opportunities he could cause us to be able to—he could create for us and I was certainly very impressed and gratified by that. I was also greatly pleased that the first thing he did was to go to the Youth Hostel. But I understand that in due course, he will speak to you himself and so perhaps I ought to leave it here. Good to have him home.”
Shyne has rented an entire floor at the Radisson Fort George until construction of an extension on the home of his uncle, Michael Finnegan, is complete. One of Shyne’s attorneys including Professor Charles Ogletree is arriving in Belize on Saturday and is expected to speak to the media.
