Jeneil Williams career is upward-bound at a skyrocketing pace...She just wrapped up shooting for Nordstrom.
Here's the article from Jamaica Observer:
Pulse model Jeneil Williams' hot streak continues, as she shoots the Nordstrom campaign this week in New York, after completing the upcoming season's Internet catalogues last week. She is holding several new options, including a campaign for the famous Aldo shoes, which she appears likely to book.speaking from her New York base yesterday, Jeneil says that she is delighted at the success she has been able to garner at this stage of her career. Now, she feels, she is beginning to realise her dream of stardom and success. In this space of a few short weeks, Jeneil's trajectory has been nothing short of amazing. She debuted at New York Fashion Week where she was undoubtedly one of the shining stars of the season.
Handpicked to appear for more than a dozen designers, the Pulse model also earned the honour of opening for top design houses including Diesel and Zero + Maria Cornejo, Jeneil was then whisked away by Ford for the Paris collection where she had the distinction of walking for the internationally revered Lanvin, the ultra fashionable Castel Baga, among a number of other featured designers.
After the collections, Jeneil shot a 10-page editorial in Brussels and Anther in Paris for the fashion forward Under The Influence and the cool Dealer De Luxe magazines respectively. She then jetted back to her base in New York where she shot Bennetton, for the second straight year with celebrated photographer David Simms in an elaborate campaign shoot, spread over several days. Now she is shooting Nordstrom and W magazine, with immediate options for a number of assignments, including Aldo.
Benetton was yet another major 2009 campaign triumph by Jeneil since the start of the year. Previously she nabbed the lead model role for the Jawbone Bluetooth campaign at the same time that she was shooting several other international feature editorials including French GQ, Germany's Deustch magazine and Russia's Depesha.
There is no question that her star has risen. Ask Mario Testino, fashion's great photographer, who has taken a keen interest in her. Testino, famous for his incredible photography, including the memorable Princess Diana set, has been responsible for much of the success of other Pulse models such as Nadine Willis and Jaunel McKenzie.
Since her discovery by Pulse in the 2005 Caribbean Model Search, Jeneil has only moved upward. She is beginning to emerge as the hot new model to watch in fashion's world. Needless to say all her agents are elated, especially Pulse, her mother agent, which guides her career. However, the feeling is shared by New York Models in New York, Ford in Paris and Premier in London. Her international success is largely due to her discipline, commitment and tenacity for which she is seeing its global rewards and recognition. The Jamaican star has the distinction of being the only Caribbean model to shoot the famous Black Girls edition of Italian Vogue.
