Three police officers are set to be charged with the killing of the 17-year-old Carlton 'Carlisle' Grant Jr, son of Spragga Benz. He was shot on August 23rd 2008 by police on Church Street in downtown Kingston.

According to Director of Public Prosecutions, Paula Llewellyn, two policemen will be charged with murder and a third with assault.

The officers claimed that they were responding to a call of two armed men traveling by bicycle who had just robbed a female victim. When the signaled for them to stop one man pulled a gun and fired and they then returned fire.

Residents however, dispute that claim as Carlton was shot in cold blod after he had surrendered. Read my original post on the shooting HERE.
