Brian Lara is a Cropover fixture with his annual all-inclusive bash at his 18-acre estate Ebworth Estate in St. Peters. This year it falls on August 2nd. Procedes go towards the develpment of young atheletes in the region. He has also donated funds to the National HIV/AIDS Commission and the Council For The Disabled, as well as donate computers and high-speed Internet access to the Nightengale Home via Cable & Wireless through Lay Management, a company he started with fellow Trindidadian, footballer Dwight Yorke.
Aditionally he is hosting the VIP section at Chobbolopot the following day.
Crop Over is in full swing in Barbados and apart from Lara's fetes, there are lost of other events going on. This weekend is the Party Monarch finals and next Friday (August 1st) is Pic-o-de-Crop finals at Kensington Oval. Monday August 4th is Grand Kadooment at the national staduium.
