So Island Records is celebrating 50 Years in the biz and Amy Winehouse went and cancelled on them. The anniversary bash is scheduled for May 31st. Not only that she is not performing at Quincy Jones tribute bash either.

This news comes after a disastrous performance atSt Lucia Jazz Festival where, according to her folks, she ended her performace prematurely due to bad weather. Many are saying though her comeback gig was doomed (she forgot her lyrics and her voice was not up to par) and she was even booed by patrons.

So she met Quincy at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday party in Hyde Park last summer where he invited her and Mark Ronson to record a song for a tribute album to himself.

Drunken stupors on the island are all the rage for Winehouse. I think she needs some intervention.

It's been months, and still no song. Apparently what there is of it, is great material, but this girl just can't seem to complete anything. Same for her album she is working on in St. Lucia. So far she has 18 tracks but all are incomplete.

Had the song for Quincy been completed she would have joined Michael Jackon (some of his biggest hits were produced byJones) at the launch of the CD.

Side note: she is allegedlly being followed for Saving Amy—what promises to be a particularly raw documentary from interviewer Daphne Barak, which will be released later this year.
