Barbados will turn 41 on November 30th, there will be lots of official events and Run Barbados is a kickstart to it all!!!
Run Barbados is an annual run sponsored by the Barbados Tourism Authority it will take place from 11/30/07 top 12/02/07
Run Barbados has always sought to establish a strong relationship with the Barbadian community, which is clearly demonstrated through its longstanding relationship with the Barbados Cancer Society. This year part proceeds of the series’ inaugural ‘The Gap Midnight Fun Mile’ will again be donated to the cause of the Society. We are also pleased to have on board with us for the first time the Scotia Bank In Fo’ Life project, which is geared toward HIV/ AIDS awareness, particularly among the vulnerable children and youth. The Scotia Bank In Fo' Life Half Marathon is part of that company’s latest outlet to promote their HIV/ AIDS awareness campaign among the vulnerable youth age groups.
Patti Labelle will cut the ribbon to kick off the Gap Midnight Fun Mile run.
