Congrats goes out to super-talented costume designer Peter Minshll who received the Hennessy Privilege award on Tuesday August 21st at the Audubon Centre in Prospect Park Brooklyn NY.
Those who receive this award have provided extraordinary contributions to their respective communities in leadership, service or the arts.
Previous Hennessy Privilege award winners include, Rev. Al Sharpton, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Spike Lee and George Lopez.

Chart -topping 17-year old Sean Kingston is in the August 13th issue of People Magazine.

Newley released from prison, Jah Cure will have his first official perfomance in Holland at Reggae Sun-Dance on August 12.
The 5th Annual Soca Awards will be taking place on Soca Sunday aka Labour Day Sunday, September 2nd at Rum Jungle Club in New York. Originally the show was to take place at the Walt Whitman Theatre in Brooklyn. Last year the awards which were to take place at The Apollo Theatre were cancelled.
