photo sourceSandals Royal Bahamian resort recenly won Green Globe 21 Award for Environmental Stewardship. In continuing their goal of preserving their surrounding evnvironment, the hotel is offering a $500.00 prize to a local artist in a unique recycling project. Artists will use cans in their project and the best and most innovative idea will be commissioned.
Artists should send a short written description of their idea to mnichols@grp.sandals.com no later than Friday August 15, 2008 with the winner notified by telephone on Tuesday August 19, 2008 and the winning artist given up to a month to create their masterpiece. The resort plans to unveil the artwork during September before dismantling and recycling the cans.
